Yamasa Corporation, having a great history with 355 years in the soy-source brewery business, also has a long history in bioresearch and biotechnology with nucleic acid in the use of seasoning and food science. Twenty years ago, our cAMP RIA kit and cGMP RIA kit were developed from the results of this research. In 1988, our diagnostics department was established for the purpose of developing the diagnostic kits and the monoclonal antibodies for medical research using the technology of immunological responses. Our developed products are very unique and occupy many fields in Japan. In recent years our departmen has made contact with top-level enterprises in foreign countries with the exportation and the introduction of diagnostic kit products.
