Choshi factory

“Yamasa Choshi factory”
Yamasa’s production base that boasts of operations of more than 350 years.

In 1645, Yamasa has started brewing soy sauce in Choshi, Chiba.
Since then, Yamasa soy sauce has known widely as quality-wise brand.
At the end of Edo period, middle of 19th century, its soy sauce was designated as the best quality soy sauce by the Tokugawa Shogunate.
Now, Yamasa Chosi factory has the 1st and 2nd factory in the area around 23 hectare (230,000 square meters), where soy sauce and soy sauce related seasonings are produced at.
Yamasa Choshi accepts the factory tour, which customers can see Moromi (Brewing) tank and fermentation process.
Also, customers can buy Yamasa products at the store in the factory.

Narita factory

“Yamasa Narita factory”

In 2011, the second factory of Yamasa in Japan has started. In September 2011, Yamasa’s second domestic factory has completed at ‘Narita NewIndustrial Park’ in Narita,Chiba. Brewing process of soy sauce remains in Choshi factory, whereas bottling of soy sauce and production of soy sauce related seasonings (Tsuyu, Tare etc.) are at Narita Factory. Also, logistic center that directly connected to production area has been built in the factory. It is functioning as the core of our logistics.

U.S.A. factory

“U.S.A. Salem factory”
Yamasa’s first overseas factory

Yamasa’s first overseas factory was completed in Salem, Oregon, in the United States in 1994. The factory is 65,000 square feet wide and is located on premises of 25 acres developed by the Oregon State Government as an industrial area. The factory is equipped with the most advanced facilities to produce “Brewed Soy Sauce.” Yamasa soy sauce is shipped out from the factory to many places throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.
